Have you ever heard that we have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason? We should listen twice as much as we talk. If we followed the 2 ears to 1 mouth rule, we are talking 1/3 of the time and the prospect is talking 2/3 of the time. Many people believe it should be closer to us talking 20% of the time and the prospect talking 80% of the time.
Eric Worre says that if our lips are moving, we should be asking a question or pointing to something. This means, we should always use 3rd party tools to present and to answer questions.
Don't do a data dump and don't be the expert. We scare the prospect off because:
1. Their eyes glaze over when we rave about or product or opportunity or
2. We sound like and expert and they don't think they can do what we do. This is when the excuses start.
